Press conference in Pula

In festivity atmosphere, the presentation of two-years work of the The Heart of Istria project took place in Cvajner Gallery. On the conference, project results were presented: publications with leaflets (4) and working version of the movie, as well as the project team that produced the results.

Publications cover tourist routes/itineraries, and are printed in four languages (Croatian, Italian, English and Slovenian), describing in detail 4 topics: Istrian frescoes, Istrian castles, Istrian arhelogical parks – Path of Gods and Istrian architectural heritage of Venetian times. Brochures are an extract from scientific and tourist research, synergetic effects of experts’ cooperation from both sides of the border. Each brochure is thematically followed by a leaflet (on 5 languages) with a map of localities connected by numbers to photographs of localities described in the brochure, a DVD material, i.e. promotional movie with 4 mentioned topics. Members of the project team that made these researches and publications possible are Sniježana Matejčić and Jugo Jakovčić, with text editor Miodraga Kalčića, who were presenting Istrian heritage for tourim purposes. On the other hand, visual quality and the pleasure of having publication in one’s hands risen to the level of artistry are the result of photographer Renco Kosinožić, designer Ana Berc and publisher Maldenka Batalić. Brochures are being distributed to institutions in tourism industry and culture, and due to its educational impact, a part of the run has been distributed to libraries and schools troughout towns and municipalities (upon inquiry on telephone 052 211 416).
