Presentation of the monograph The Painting Patrimony of Istria

In the frame of the project Srce Istre (HEART OF ISTRIA) and in collaboration with the Commune of Isola, the monograph Slikarska baština Istre.

Djela štafelajnog slikarstva od 15. do 18. stoljeća na području porečko-pulske biskupije (The Painting Patrimony of Istria: The works of »štafelajno« painting from 15th to 18th century in the area of the diocese of Poreč and Pulj), by authors Prof Nina Kudiš Burić (lecturer at the Department for Art History of the Faculty of Arts, University of Rijeka) and Višnja Bralić (Department for Painting of the Hrvaški restavratorski zavod in Zagreb and lecturer at the Department for Art History of the Faculty of Arts in Zagreb). The monograph includes an outstanding number of tabular paintings in the area of the diocese of Poreč and Pulj. It points at the strong connection between Istrian towns, Venice and the Republic of Venice, which was presented in the frame of the project by tourist brochures and publications (The architectural heritage of Venice).
